About

I create prints in many forms, my dedication to printmaking has led me to focusing on etching, collagraphs, printing with found objects, and collage. My artwork is an exploration of systems and patterns at every level. I am fascinated with the way the world works and my art is often a critique, response, or reflection of that.

I am in dialogue with my personal histories, my community history, and greater world histories. What drives my artwork are elements of process and conceptual research driven ideas. I am using monoprint techniques to create uniqueness and a linear story between an edition of prints. This is something that remains static in my art as I discuss themes such as the perception of Black women and bodies, history and stories of communities, and repetitions in body and nature. Part of my process revolves around the use of found objects, collection of texture, and the use of fabric collages and sewing. The thematic elements of my art are equally driven by my process.
